Mandate and context
In the context of the reconstruction of Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital, its Foundation wishes to consolidate its influence as a driving force of transformation for the East of Montreal. The health of the population, at the heart of the region's socio-economic future, extends far beyond the four walls of the hospital: it is around this concept that Volume10 is helping the Foundation redefine its role and impact.
Implementation and solutions
Volume10 conducted comparative market research around the world to identify which hospitals have succeeded in enhancing the importance of the social determinants of health (housing, inclusion, education, food security, employment, etc.). Examples include hospitals that have invested in rooftop greenhouses, affordable housing projects and children's education programs.
Impact and outcomes
Currently, the Foundation is evaluating potential social projects to determine where to invest in order to maximize its impact on the Eastern community. The selection of a high-impact social project is planned for the beginning of 2024.
