Mandate and context
Fifteen years after the coming into force of its Sustainable Development Act, the Ministère de l'Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques (MELCC) has launched a 2021-2022 action plan that brings government agencies together around a common vision. Revenu Québec aspires to adopt sustainable development objectives and strategies.
Implementation and solutions
Volume10 conducted an environmental and social impact study in order to create a customized sustainable development strategy, which includes 3 objectives and 7 action lines. The firm collaborated with the Office of Sustainable Development to conduct research and analysis based on procurement, mobility, residual materials, eco-taxation and several other major aspects.
Impact and outcomes
Revenu Québec launched its first-ever sustainable development strategy (2022-2027) and focused its efforts on ambitious and realistic objectives that are consistent with those of the MELCC. The entire government agency has been mobilized and made aware of the social and environmental issues of sustainable development.
