Mandate and context
Gastronomy, an important engine for several sectors of the Quebec economy, was put to the test during the pandemic. The CCMM would like to obtain a detailed picture of the economic situation of this sector and a roadmap for its recovery.
Implementation and solutions
To better understand the economic impact of the pandemic on the gastronomic sector, Volume10 collected unseen primary data, conducted interviews and organized workshops. The firm then created a tool to compare the Quebec context to that of other global gastronomic destinations. Then, in April 2022, it propelled the foundation of the collective La Table Ronde, with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation.
Impact and outcomes
Active for the past year, the collective La Table Ronde is already behind many projects that promote the accessibility of niche products and the growth of the gastronomic sector. Its objectives for 2023 are the adoption of sustainable practices in the restaurant industry and the promotion of Quebec gastronomy worldwide
