Mandate and context
Since the turn of the century, Griffintown's proximity to downtown Montreal has attracted a great deal of interest, resulting in rapid urban development and a demographic boom characterized by a young, multicultural and affluent populationHowever, Griffintown is struggling to establish its identity, while residents' concerns are clear: a lack of neighborhood atmosphere and life.
Implementation and solutions
Volume10 has developed a business case demonstrating that the Corridor Culturel has the potential to put the needs and expectations of Griffintown residents at the forefront, enhancing the citizen experience and defining the neighborhood's identity. In fact, this project will make it possible to mesh the cultural offering by linking the various disrupted pockets, from the Atwater Market to Pointe-à-Callière.
