Mandate and context
Montreal is a hotbed of culture, design and citizen initiatives, but its social entrepreneurship achievements lack support and visibility. The McConnell Foundation wants to encourage the City to listen more carefully to the innovative ideas of Montrealers, to support promising projects and to adopt a more inclusive approach.
Implementation and solutions
Volume10 initiated this project to amplify Montreal's social entrepreneurship by organizing co-creation workshops with eight Montreal foundations and conducting a literature review focused on the revival of devitalized sectors and marginalized populations. The firm defined the strategic plan and pilot projects associated with the Amplifier Montréal movement.
Impact and outcomes
The strategic plan developed by Volume10 generated a lot of media attention for Amplifier Montréal and high visibility for Montreal social enterprises. It resulted in the Impact collectif project, which calls Montreal neighbourhoods to action to reduce poverty and social exclusion.
